■ Chassis front structure
Since entering the NT2.0 era, the improvement of the overall hardware quality of Weilai Automobile is obvious to all. The first thing that catches the eye is the full-frame rear axle subframe made of integrated hollow cast aluminum technology, which has high strength and light weight, and can also control the total weight well with the larger rear axle asynchronous motor. In addition, hydraulic rubber sleeves with better anti-vibration performance and higher cost are used in the connection part between the subframe and the car body of the rear axle. The asynchronous motor at the rear axle is also covered with a large area of sound insulation sponge, and the thickness of the sponge is considerable.
■ Some other details
In other respects, considering that Weilai ET7 is an electric car, its chassis flatness is beyond doubt. When the chassis guard is not removed, the flatness of the whole car bottom can’t be compared with any oil car.
In addition, Weilai has also considered the battery’s protection ability very thoughtfully. This large battery cell with 100kwh is provided by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited, and the design and packaging of the battery are completed by Weilai. In order to take into account the demand for power exchange, the battery pack and the body frame have been doubly strengthened. All Weilai models adopt high-strength multi-cavity extruded aluminum doorsill, which forms a strong structure with the cross beam of the car body floor, and the lateral strength can bear 300KN pressure, covering both sides of the whole high-voltage battery module, providing the first safety guarantee.
The shell of the battery is also made of high-strength aluminum material, protected by double-layer aluminum plate and very strong honeycomb structure, which optimizes the mechanical structure and adds multi-channel reinforcement design. Under the condition of normal collision or hanging bottom, the internal battery cell will not catch fire or explode. At the same time, the battery pack reaches the IP69K standard, which is completely dustproof and can resist the impact of high pressure and high temperature water flow.
