It is understood that the new car, as the first SUV model of Geely’s new BMA modular architecture, adopts a new family design language – Time Racing aesthetic concept in appearance and shape, and its interior also adopts a more youthful and fashionable design style.
Compared with everyone’s understanding of this new car, we still have to review that its appearance adopts a new design language – Time Racing Aesthetics, and its official intention is to create a "youthful beauty of power" in the new car as a whole. In terms of details, the front face of Geely Colorful adopts a new starry sky recall front grille, with angular headlights on both sides to make the new car look more dynamic. At the same time, its double C-shaped fog lamp area has been designed in a three-dimensional way to further emphasize the car’s sense of power.
From the side of the body, the new car adopts a double waist line design, which lengthens the visual effect of the car to a certain extent. At the same time, the raised lines above the wheel arch create a rich light and shadow effect on the body surface. In addition, from the side and rear, the addition of the new car’s floating roof and rear spoiler, with a coupe-style slip-back design, adds more youthful elements to the new car.
In terms of the tail, although the style of the new car’s taillights is simple, the interior details are rich, and it is very recognizable when lit. In addition, the two-sided exhaust layout further enhances the sporty atmosphere of the new car. In terms of body size, its length, width and height are 4330/1800/1609mm, and the wheelbase is 2600mm.
In terms of interior, Geely Binyue adopts a gun gray color with brown contrasting color design as a whole, and adds matte metal brushed elements to embellish in many details, so that the overall texture of the new car can be improved. In terms of details, the new car uses a lot of straight and curved lines on the center console to outline the main perspective of the interior, which is rich in visual hierarchy. At the same time, the addition of a flat-bottomed three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a suspended large-size central control LCD screen makes the new car more fashionable and technological. In terms of configuration, the new car will provide practical configurations such as steep descent, parking assistance, and electronic handbrake.
As the first SUV model on the BMA architecture, the BMA power will be equipped with a 1.5T three-cylinder engine jointly developed by Geely and Volvo, with a maximum power of 177 horsepower and a peak torque of 255 Nm. The transmission is matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch gearbox, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time is only 7.9 seconds. Due to the BMA architecture’s research and development capabilities compatible with new energy vehicles, Geely BMA will also launch models with new energy power such as PHEVs in the future. In addition, the car will also be equipped with rich intelligent safety equipment and L2 autonomous driving assistance technology.
