Original title: Interview with Sha | How did he change from Eshun to Yang Jian in "Feng Shen I"?

Special feature of 1905 film network There is such an impressive character in the mythical epic movie "Feng Shen I", which is being shown. He is upright, chivalrous, courageous and imposing, and he is the "facade bearer" in the immortals. He is Yang Jian. In this issue of "Light and Shadow Star Podcast", we are greeted by this sand, the actor of Yang Jian in the film.

In 2017, this sand officially entered the entertainment circle because of participating in the trilogy of gods. Before this year’s "Feng Shen I" was released, he had given wonderful performances in many film and television works.

In the urban emotional drama "All My Life", this sand plays Mei Xing, a good friend and lawyer of the leading actor Shengchen Zhou. In his eyes, Mei Xing is a sentient and righteous person who does everything for his brother and restrains and guards his lover. It seems that he is drifting along with nature, but in fact he is affectionate and righteous.

In the drama "Getting to know you at the beginning" and "Like an old friend returning", this sand plays a brave and loyal little bobcat Li Shu, who forbeares loneliness in the early stage and is affectionate, transparent and brave in the later stage. He has a righteous heart, guards the whole life and forgets his life. Fortunately, he has a happy ending in the end.

In the costume martial arts drama Shadow of Mountains and Rivers, Li Dongfang played by this sand is actually far from the real him. This role is ambitious, ruthless and unscrupulous, so this sand was under great pressure at the initial performance. Fortunately, with his all-out efforts, Li Dongfang stayed in the hearts of many audiences.

In the contemporary urban drama "Illuminate You", this sand turned into a gentle tyrant Huo Yanzong, guarding the loved ones in his own way, finally letting go of his obsession and gaining precious friendship.

After the film was released, this sand gained more attention and love from the audience. Yang Jian, played by him, is an extremely important role in the film. However, at first, this sand was not to play Yang Jian, but a corner of Eshun. Before the film started, he also trained in equestrian and horseback riding in the Proton Group. Later, the director saw the shadow of Yang Jian in him, and felt that besides being handsome, this sand also had the extraordinary, simple and tough temperament of Yang Jian, so he finally decided to play the role of Yang Jian.

Q: If you use one word to describe the character Yang Jian, what word would you choose and why?

A: Sage-like, because Yang Jian in "Feng Shen I" may be different from the so-called Erlang God Yang Jian that everyone has seen before. He came down from Kunlun Mountain, protected the list and escorted his uncle. He was an inexperienced, worldly-minded, sage-like figure who gradually grew from a little Taoist to a generation of God of War.

In order to express the feeling of Yang Jian’s sage-like style, this sand lost 20 Jin, trying to interpret this role in the most perfect state. In the film, the weapon used by Yang Jian is a three-pointed double-edged knife. For this sand who had studied martial arts, the action play is relatively easy to complete.

Q: How did your experience of learning martial arts help you to use weapons and perform action scenes in the film?

A: It’s still very helpful. It’s true that I studied juvenile Wushu Sanda for three years when I was in middle school. These experiences had a little foundation when I went to the training camp to worship the gods, so I was particularly resistant to it. I hung Weiya for several hours every day during filming, and I was able to persist in practicing these movements over and over again, including a scene behind me, which flew out from the Longde Hall, with a little difficulty, and I also completed it relatively OK.

Before the filming, this sand once entered the Romance of the Gods training camp and conducted all-round training with other new actors, making full preparations for the film performance.

Q: Of all the training programs, what do you think is the biggest challenge to yourself? How was it overcome at that time?

A: For me, the biggest challenge is definitely Mandarin, because I am a Yi people, and we have our own writing and language. Before I was eight years old, I spoke my own mother tongue. After school, my teacher would teach us Chinese, but at ordinary times, we basically speak some Chinese with dialects in my hometown. I didn’t start learning Putonghua until I came to Beijing to be an actor. In the training camp for worshipping gods, I learned it bit by bit, which word is nasal, which word is nasal, and I learned it with pinyin, an idiom and a sentence. At that time, I really made a lot of efforts.

There are many elements of Chinese traditional culture in "Feng Shen I". As one of the leading roles in the film, Sha hopes that everyone can support this excellent work.

This sand: "Feng Shen Part I is a movie with temperature. It not only has shocking visual effects, but also the story is particularly arresting. Every character has flesh and blood, and it can make everyone feel the charm of Chinese culture, so I hope everyone can seriously feel our movie full of Chinese cultural charm."

Weibo ID of this sand is called "This sand is a little actor". From the name, we can feel his humility and low-key. I believe that with continuous efforts and progress, he will definitely become a more mature and dazzling excellent actor in the future.
